Woodworker Position Summary The Woodworker is responsible for constructing, assembling, repairing, and finishing wood products and structures according to specifications, drawings, or work orders. This position involves operating woodworking tools and machinery safely while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to production standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Cut, shape, and assemble wood components using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. Interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, or work orders to determine project requirements. Operate woodworking equipment such as saws, planers, routers, sanders, and drill presses. Measure and mark materials accurately to ensure precision and quality. Assemble custom wood products. Sand, finish, stain, or treat wood surfaces as required. Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity. Repair or modify existing wood products as needed. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition. Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE. Report equipment malfunctions, material defects, or safety hazards to supervision. Other responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous woodworking, carpentry, or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and specifications. Skilled in using hand tools and woodworking machinery. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good math and measurement skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work with hands for extended periods. Ability to lift and move materials up to 60 pounds. Ability to operate tools and machinery safely and repeatedly. Ability to work in a shop environment with dust, noise, and moving equipment. Work Environment Woodshop, manufacturing, or construction-related environment. Exposure to sawdust, adhesives, finishes, and woodworking machinery. May require overtime or flexible scheduling based on production needs.

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
