Job Description:
G. Christianson Construction is seeking an experienced and skilled Cabinet Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in cabinet fabrication and be proficient in a variety of woodworking techniques, tools, and equipment. This role involves collaborating with fellow craftsmen and craftswomen, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality, custom-built cabinetry and millwork tailored to each project's specific requirements.
Job Duties :
  • Reviewing cut sheets for mistakes and ensuring the best and most efficient use of the wood during cutting.
  • Planning ahead of assembly to make sure that cabinet boxes are assembled correctly to avoid re-work.
Custom Cabinet Construction:
Build custom cabinets from scratch, including cutting, shaping, assembling, high-quality wood materials.
    Material Selection:
    Select materials, including various types of wood, hardware, and finishes, according to project specifications and client preferences.
      Tool and Equipment Use:
      Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision machinery (e.g., Edge bander, routers and planers) safely and effectively.
        Quality Control:
        Inspect completed projects to ensure they meet company standards and client expectations for craftsmanship and aesthetics.
          Problem-Solving:
          Identify and address design or construction challenges, adapting techniques as necessary to achieve optimal results. Requirements
            Experience:
            Minimum of 4 years of experience in cabinet making or woodworking
              Technical Skills:
              Strong proficiency in woodworking techniques, joinery and custom cabinetry.
              • Attention to
              Detail:
              Exceptional attention to detail in measuring, crafting, and finishing.
                Physical Stamina:
                Ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods.
                  Knowledge of Materials:
                  Familiarity with various wood types, veneers, and finishes, as well as a strong understanding of cabinet hardware.
                    Problem Solving:
                    Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex design or installation issues independently.
                      Communication:
                      Strong communication skills for working with clients and team members.
                      Job Type:
                      Full-time Pay:
                      $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
