POSITION
Custom Soft Goods Sales Rep
REPORTS TO
Jason Eskridge PURPOSE:
To assist and service the needs of customers by facilitating the smooth flow of all custom labor orders. We offer a flexible schedule if needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Communicating effectively (both oral and written) with customers, co-workers, workrooms and installers. 2. Distinguishing colors and patterns. 3. Processing sales and labor transactions using available equipment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Must possess a basic knowledge of labor products including a familiarity with fabrics, construction, and fabrication. Design knowledge or installation helpful. 2. Ability to communicate fairly and openly. Must demonstrate a professional demeanor when dealing with customers, associates, and installers. 3. Must possess solid computer skills. 4. Ability to read, write, and accurately figure basic arithmetic problems, fractions, decimals and percentages. Must demonstrate the ability to calculate yardage and pricing. 5. Must be detail oriented, demonstrate a proactive approach, work with a strong sense of urgency and be extremely organized. This position requires continuous use of problem-solving skills and the ability to see the "big picture" in terms of profitability, productivity, and customer relationships. 6. Ability to work well in a store team environment.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Responsible for communication with customers, and workrooms with regard to custom product orders. Partner with manager to meet with designers' appointments, and schedule for measures and installs. 2. Facilitate smooth flow of all custom product orders by reviewing all finished work orders for completeness and accuracy and letting customers know the status of their orders. 3. Can contribute to product construction and fabric and trim features and suitability issues. 4. Documenting all work order issues and remakes and communicating this regularly to management. 5. Notify customers and installers when finished product is and arrange for installation or pick-up, if needed. 6. Ensure proper remake procedures, including tracking remakes by and reason, are followed. 7. Monitor aged Accounts Receivable weekly and take appropriate action. 8. Is proactive about notifying customers of back orders and other delays. 9. Keep Manager informed of ongoing customer issues or unusual labor concerns. 10. Maintain awareness of all merchandise and its location familiar with current trends in fabric, fibers, design and decorating. 11. Follow all company policies and procedures.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Assist sales personnel with customers when needed. 2. Participate in meetings as needed. 3. Perform other administrative and clerical duties as required. 4. Perform inventory control. 5. Other related duties as assigned. 6. Ability to go off site and take window measurements 7. Bilingual, English and Spanih, is helpful but not required
Pay:
$48,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
