The American Leather factory is unique in the furniture industry. It allows us to create custom luxury furniture in Dallas, Texas, and deliver it to consumers' homes via our retail partners in about 30 days. Under the direction of the Wood Shop Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor, the Padder is responsible for the safe and efficient upholstery of foam and soft padding to wood frames using water-based adhesives, staple guns, and other hand tools.
PRI MARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives frames from the framing area Ensures the frame label and foam label match Attaches soft padding and foam to frames, ensuring all areas are covered Operates hand tools such as staple guns and spray guns Counts and reports rejected foam (notify the assistant supervisor) Conducts a quality check on the finished frame Clean and maintain the work area
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
