Job Description

STS Staffing is seeking for a Short-Term dependable and detail-oriented Crate Builder to construct custom wooden shipping crates for aircraft parts and components located in Georgetown, TX. This role is responsible for building durable, high-quality crates that ensure the safe transport of valuable aerospace equipment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using hand and power tools, following detailed instructions, and maintaining productivity while adhering to quality standards. This is only a 4month Project!
Pay Rate:
$20.00 per hour
Shift:
1st Shift Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Essential Duties and Responsibilities Build custom wooden crates and shipping containers for aircraft parts and components. Measure, cut, assemble, and secure lumber according to specifications and packaging requirements. Operate hand tools, power tools, nail guns, saws, drills, and other equipment safely and effectively. Follow established crate-building procedures and shipping guidelines to protect high-value aircraft parts during transportation. Read and interpret work instructions, measurements, and packaging specifications. Inspect completed crates for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work efficiently to meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards. Communicate with supervisors regarding material needs, project status, or quality concerns. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Previous experience in crate building, carpentry, construction, woodworking, manufacturing, or a related field preferred. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organizational and time management skills. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching. Ability to work with wood materials and operate power tools for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed.
