General Production Worker Job Description The General Production Worker supports the assembly of cabinets in a large, stable manufacturing facility. You work on various stages of cabinet and door production, using hand tools and equipment to assemble components accurately and efficiently. This role involves working in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment with opportunities to learn multiple departments and grow your skills over time. Responsibilities + Assemble cabinets and related components according to production specifications and quality standards. + Install shelves, hinges, and other hardware on cabinets using appropriate hand tools. + Work in the door department or other production areas as needed to support overall workflow. + Operate basic production and woodworking machinery as assigned, following all safety procedures. + Perform sanding, painting, or finishing tasks on cabinets and doors when required. + Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly for assembly and production tasks. + Follow detailed instructions and production schedules to meet daily output goals. + Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency. + Inspect work for accuracy and quality, reporting any defects or issues to the appropriate personnel. + Adapt to different tasks and departments as cross-training and business needs require. Essential Skills + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. + Experience using basic hand tools for assembly or construction tasks. + Capability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. + Strong attention to detail to ensure quality in assembly and finishing work. + Reliability and punctuality to support consistent, year-round production schedules. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in a manufacturing or production setting is a plus. + Familiarity with sanding, painting, or woodworking processes is advantageous. + Comfort operating basic production or woodworking machinery is helpful. + Willingness to cross-train and work in multiple departments over time.
