Job Description
Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Summary :
The Facilities Operator will operate, maintain, and repair various machinery and equipment in a designated area such as edible oil production, meal production, water treatment and fuel farm.Key Responsibilities:
Uses hand tools to perform basic adjustments and maintenance to equipment under the supervision of a senior operator. Monitors various operation indicators to such as fuel or material levels and auger speeds to ensure equipment is operating properly. Assists with other operating tasks under direction of a senior operator.Additional Responsibilities:
Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before Basic mechanical ability. High School Diploma or equivalent. Good communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree or Trade School certification in a related field S trong computer skills. OSHA 10 and 30 certificationsWork Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.Work authorizations:
