Position Overview Pay range: $17.00 - $22.75 / hour

Job Highlights As part of our Perioperative Services, you'll work in one of the nation's largest and most dynamic surgical departments dedicated to advancing surgical care, featuring more than 60 state-of-the-art operating suites where more than 41,000 surgeries are completed annually. You'll collaborate with world-class surgeons and an interdisciplinary care team, including pre-and-post-procedural and OR staff, who are all committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and the highest quality care. Job Description To provide services to any area that requires re-processing of sterile instrumentation. To clean, assemble and sterilize instrument sets for surgery. To assemble and organize case carts for surgery. To stock supplies and perform biological testing of sterilizers. To operate all sterilization equipment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Packages instruments for sterilization using the appropriate chemical indicators. 2. Assembles tray for surgical cases in a timely and accurate manner according to case type. Unloads cart washer; loads and unloads sterilizers. 3. Follows established guidelines, policies and procedures of the hospital as well as the department. 4. Properly handles and inventories instruments that have been returned from surgery. 5. Provides services in four primary areas including decontamination of surgical instrumentation, tray assembly, biological sterilization and picking of case carts. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required.
