Wednesday Pay:
Up to $25 an hour DOE Summary Growth technicians are responsible for carrying out the volume manufacturing process on GaAs metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) epitaxial growth reactors. The epitaxial manufacturing process includes reactor preparation, reactor load and unload, reactor operation, data entry, and visual inspection of epitaxial wafers. Growth Technicians interact closely with Process Engineering and receive reactor activity plans through verbal and/or written instructions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Complete daily reactor status checklist Load epitaxial growth recipes from disk or reactor computer Load and unload substrates into the reactor Operate epitaxial growth reactor via computer driven interface Enter pertinent data into manufacturing database Perform basic reactor trouble shooting Assist with basic reactor maintenance activities Perform visual inspection of epitaxial wafers from reactorSend verbal or written passdown to next shift and Process Engineering Check out supplies from stock room to gown room, reactor, and maintenance work areas Empty hazardous and non-hazardous trash in the reactor and maintenance work areas Other tasks as requested Other Duties Potential for Emergency Response Team participation Qualifications 2 year technical degree or equivalent Good verbal and written communication skills Basic computer operating skills Effective time management skills Physical Demands Must be able to lift 25 pounds Must be able to wear clean room clothing (gown, mask gloves, booties, etc) Ability to work for extended periods of time in a cleanroom environment Regular and consistent attendance at the office/fab Work Environment Majority of time will be spent in cleanroom Availability to work occasional overtime (OT) Will handle a wide range of semiconductor chemicals and gases Noise levels are low to moderate NOTE This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
