Job Description

Position Summary The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring chemical manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality products while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Operate and monitor chemical manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality products. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. Conduct visual inspections and tests to verify product quality and consistency. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Record production data and maintain accurate and up-to-date logs, reports and company system. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Participate in training programs to improve job skills and knowledge. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Operate material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished products. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Associate degree in a technical field, such as chemical technology or process technology. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Basic computer skills, including data entry and record keeping. Willingness to work in a production environment with exposure to chemicals, noise, and dust. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Hazmat Technician 24 Hour Certification 1+ years of experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical industry. Basic knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and equipment. Ability to read and interpret SOPs and safety guidelines.
