Key Responsibilities Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. Process instrumentation for multiple specialties including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Cardiac, ENT, OB/GYN, Urology, Ophthalmology, Plastics, and General Surgery. Perform flexible endoscope reprocessing, including bronchoscopes, fiber optics, and flex sigmoidoscopes. Utilize high-level disinfection (HLD) procedures and maintain compliance with infection prevention standards. Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization cycles using biological and chemical indicators. Perform immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) according to facility protocols. Assemble surgical instrument sets and trays accurately using established count sheets and department standards. Utilize SPD instrument tracking and documentation systems to maintain processing records. Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience . Previous travel Sterile Processing experience required. Experience in both Teaching Hospitals and Community Hospitals . Strong experience with decontamination, sterilization, tray assembly, and endoscope reprocessing. Experience with robotic instrumentation and SPD tracking systems. Knowledge of biological indicators, chemical indicators, and steam sterilization monitoring. Ability to work rotating weekends and flexible schedules based on department needs.
