Bead Blast Production Technician Schedule:
Full time M-F 2:30PM to 10:30PM shift.
Pay Range:
$26-$34 per hour (DOE)

Hayward, California This position is fully onsite. Job Summary Production and Bead/blast Responsibilities. Staffing Network is seeking a detail-oriented Production Technician to join our cleaning department for our client in Hayward, Ca. You will operate specialized multi-stage cleaning tanks, chemical tanks, chemical processing baths, and advanced rinsing station to prepare precision customer machined parts and components. The successful candidate will follow precise work instructions, utilize production tracking software, and communicate effectively via email to ensure parts are free of contaminants to meet strict industry cleaning standards. Production Line Production Technician will process parts through different chemical tanks. Prepare any required parts through production baskets, hooks, or hoists to ensure structure of parts are not damaged during handling / processing. Operate and monitor different community immersion bath tanks utilizing specific detergent /chemicals tailored to specific allow and part configurations. Perform various process related tasks such as operating high-pressure washing station to process parts and remove specific contaminants from machined parts. Safely navigate large processing parts and utilize overhead hoists to move heavy parts and fixtures. Hand-process delicate, precise high-precision components requiring extreme care to prevent scratches or damage. Utilize high-pressure N2/CDA guns to dry components and clear all area of parts in a particle-controlled environment. Strictly follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for the specific process call out for part cleaning, rinsing, and passivation work instructions. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols for handling hazardous chemicals. Bead-Blast Production Line Bead Blasting Technician is a specialized surface preparation professional in manufacturing and industrial settings. This role involves using high-pressure air to shoot tiny glass beads (or other media) at metal parts to clean, deburr, or create a uniform, matte, or satin surface finish. Quality Control Visually inspect parts, count parts before and after processing to ensure zero contamination or chemical / loss / damage parts took place during process. Prior to processing technicians must isolate components by material type before batch submersion to prevent cross-contamination or chemical reactions. Identify heavy drawing oils, cutting fluids on inbound parts to eliminate compromise of chemistry of the main community tanks. Perform water-break-free verification testing on rinsed surfaces to guarantee the complete elimination of contamination. Maintain accurate, real-time records of production cleaning and chemical parameters. Draft and email concise, detailed non-conformance updates to supervisor if a customer's part suffers staining, chemical over-etch, or reveals material flaws after any process cycles.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High School or equivalent Experience in chemical handling, precision cleaning, or manufacturing/production environment. Comfort in navigating computers, typing accurately, and using standard business applications. Ability to draft clear, grammatically correct, and professional emails for workplace communication. Mechanical aptitude and experience operating industrial equipment (e.g., pressure washers, hoists, pallet jacks). Strong attention to detail; ability to follow precise technical instructions. Basic understanding of safety regulations, Chemical Hygiene, and PPE usage. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a semiconductor, or medical cleaning environment. Previous experience or knowledgeable using any manufacturing execution systems for production tracking. Firsthand experience with degreaser or similar specialty industrial detergents. Experience processing delicate substrates, optical components, or vacuum-facing surfaces.
Physical Requirements:
You must be able to lift 50lbs and spend majority of shifts on your feet in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work safely with various chemical cleaning agents and high-pressure equipment.
