Job Description:
Atoco, Inc. is a startup company founded by the distinguished scientist Prof. Omar Yaghi, the inventor of MOF and COF chemistry, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2025. Atoco is currently working on technologies in the fields of atmospheric water harvesting and CO? capture. www.atoco.com This position will operate machines and test equipment to manufacture and conduct quality control to integrate and shape reticular nanomaterials into modules and pellets. Roles and Responsibilities Operate machines to pelletize and shape incoming powder material. Mix powder materials and monitor product consistency to feed into machines. Adjust feed rates, die configurations, and process settings to optimize pellet quality and yield. Operate and monitor production equipment to execute batch and continuous manufacturing runs according to chemical manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct quality control checks from raw material inspection, in-process monitoring, and final testing to improve chemical manufacturing yield and quality. Monitor size distribution, density, morphology, structural integrity, and moisture levels. Ensure proper labeling, segregation, and storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods. Perform material transfers between storage, processing, and production areas, maintaining accurate records. Support scale-up activities from lab/pilot scale to mass production, collaborating with R D and engineering teams during process transfers. Track production output, batch records, and yields; escalate deviations to supervisors promptly. Qualifications B.S. in chemistry or equivalent experience Minimum of 2 years of industry experience Familiar with health and safety procedures in chemical production environment Experience working in regulated GMP environment and with heavy machinery Thrive in a culture that values diversity, collaboration, precision, and learning. Strong commitment to operational excellence in the lab, office, and chemical plant environment. Follow procedures with keen attention to details and approach problems with critical thinking. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
