PROCESS TECHNICIAN

BASIC FUNCTION
Maintenance/Manufacturing Production Manager Packers and Machine Technicians Safely perform duties in support of overall day to day plant Production, utilizing required maintenance skills toward prevention of production down-time as a result of mechanical break-down. Responsible for the efficiency, quality, safety and product process for the production line manufacturing process, which includes: packaging and distribution of Jar Containers on a daily basis to meet customer dead-lines; Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP involvement, up to and including maintaining a safe and clean work area throughout shift Production in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and
HACCP. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain a safe, organized, clean and tidy workspace to safely manufacture a variety of Jar Containers; Follows SOP's for maintaining safe and clean food grade environment; Maintain production floor productivity. Ensure all lines are running to process sheets.
  • Follow production schedule; assist in tooling changeovers. Follow Standard Operating Procedures for safe production of Jar Containers;
  • Ensure Product is maintained in food safe environment;
  • Maintain Air Compressor and Water Treatment System;
  • Monitor Production Output and enters information in computer;
  • Pull data from production records; Prepare changeover process condition sheets; store old and provides new sheet;
  • Conduct Month End Inventory to ensure inventory balance;
  • Maintain sound knowledge and understanding of Blow Molding Machine;
  • Train line operator on the safe Production of equipment;
  • Periodically load and unload product, supplies and raw materials; When you report to work, you will ensure that you are in proper uniform as prescribed by Zenith dress code, GMP's and have all required tools and needed equipment.
Preform job duties in a safe, organized, clean and efficient manner. Before and after job. Completes changeover form with set-up technician. Confirms process sheet is loaded. Fills out changeover sheet and gets signoff from Team Lead after changeover complete. Machinery Process Sheets are to be followed and only changed as needed. Changes logged in operator log book. Update process sheets, if approved by Set-up and Process Technician Process any machinery concerns and problems, discuss with Production Manager Train operators, packers and material handlers. Line will not be shut down unless approved by Production Manager or Team Lead. Diagnose problems with machinery for both process and mechanical. Work orders. Able to work alone and as a team member. Attend shift meetings. Practice of Lock Out / Tag Out safety procedures. Attend training programs of onsite or offsite as directed by management. Work overtime as needed for companies' objectives. Support team needs. Be on call on off days. Be available to work after hours, weekends and holidays based on production schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
Blow molding experience is required. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience or equivalent of training and experience in industrial mechanics. Proven Education (minimum of High School Diploma); Basic Math Aptitude; Excellent communications skills; Must be skilled in industrial maintenance repairs, planning, organizing, scheduling, and monitoring the work capabilities of others; possess basic computer skills; basic mechanical knowledge in production machinery. Safety and Security Consciousness. Ability to meet productivity standards; Must be able to handle 40-50 lbs pallets; frequently bend, twist and stand for the duration of shift. Possess Certified Forklift license. This position has lead person and supervisory responsibilities.
