We have both a day shift and a swing shift open. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of surface mount assembly equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with a focus on PCB assembly and soldering techniques. This position offers an opportunity to lead a team dedicated to precision manufacturing and continuous process improvement within a dynamic environment. Duties
  • Responsible for directly overseeing SMT & set-up areas.
  • Setup and operate programmable screen printers, SMT placement machine and reflow oven. Handle chemicals in operation of the above machines according to established procedures.
  • Assist in the on-the-job training of operators to the above-listed operations.
  • Assist the shift supervisor in managing priorities and workflow as defined by the production schedule/build plan.
  • Responsible for insuring that required processes are being followed. Meets company's and customers' quality and workmanship standards.
  • Responsible for controlled product documents use during manufacturing.
  • Perform SMT equipment operations for machines including, but not limited to Fuji
CP 4 & CP 6, GSM
Universal, Dek, Heller Re-flow and wave solder (ERSA).
  • Perform any other machine operation assignments and projects as may be assigned.
  • Set up and operate an SMT pick and place machine for the assembly of PCBs.
  • Follow safety and ESD (electro-static discharge) practices according to VM Services policies and procedures Responsible for stopping the line if required.
  • Responsible for notifying Supervisor, Manager or Engineer on any issues in production.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 work experience as a Lead in electronics contract manufacturing in PCBA and SMT.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the in SMT screen printer and pick and place machine operation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with basic mechanical tools such as screwdriver, pliers, wrenches, and crimps is a plus.
  • Familiar with DEK265 Printer, Fuji
CP643E, CP65E, GSM2, HELLER
Oven
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management and customers when required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Knowledge of Part data (knowing size of the parts) and Feeder size.
  • Knowledge of IPC-610.
  • Familiar with using Outlook (email) and MSOffice Suites.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic writing and math skills.
  • Good communication skills.
Pay:
$27.00 - $28.00 per hour
