Job Title:
Racker Job Description The Racker prepares, racks, and unracks aerospace parts for chemical processing, ensuring all components are handled carefully, securely positioned, and meet strict quality standards throughout the production process. Responsibilities Place aerospace parts on and off racks in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. Perform precise bending of aluminum wires on racks to secure parts and ensure they are adequately positioned for chemical processing. Carefully hang, secure, and position parts on racks to prevent damage and ensure proper coverage during processing. Unrack finished parts after processing and prepare them for inspection or the next operation in the production workflow. Use hand tools safely and correctly to assist with racking, securing, and handling parts as needed. Support general production and material handling activities to maintain an efficient workflow. Assist with paint preparation and related tasks as required to support downstream operations. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working around chemicals and production equipment. Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to coordinate tasks and meet production goals. Essential Skills Ability to lift between 30 and 100 pounds safely and repeatedly as required by the job. Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift. Strong attention to detail to ensure parts are correctly racked, secured, and handled without damage. Manual dexterity to bend aluminum wires and handle small or delicate parts accurately. Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills to work collaboratively in a production environment. Comfort working around chemicals and in a chemical processing area. Experience with production or general labor tasks. Experience with racking or similar part-handling processes. Ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general production environments, particularly in aerospace or manufacturing settings. in material handling, including moving, staging, and organizing parts. Familiarity with assembly tasks and working with multiple components. Experience with paint preparation or paint prep processes. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Reliability and punctuality to support consistent Monday through Friday operations. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a production and chemical processing facility focused on aerospace parts. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours. You work on your feet for most of the shift and regularly lift parts weighing between 30 and 100 pounds. The environment involves handling racks, aluminum wires, and various aerospace components, using basic hand tools and equipment for racking and material handling. You work in close proximity to chemical processing operations and follow strict safety procedures, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment as required. The setting is fast-paced, team-oriented, and focused on meeting production and quality standards while maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stanton, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
