Job Description

Position Summary The Production, Sanitation, and Shipping Coordinator is a hybrid operational role responsible for supporting daily production activities within a beverage bottling and co-packing facility, maintaining cleanliness and operational standards within a shared commercial kitchen environment, and independently managing all shipping and receiving functions for raw materials and finished goods. This position requires strong organization, physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This role is critical to maintaining efficient production flow, food safety compliance, inventory accuracy, and overall facility readiness. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProduction Floor Support Assist with daily beverage bottling and co-packing operations including setup, staging, line support, changeovers, packaging, palletizing, labeling, and production cleanup. Operate and monitor basic production equipment according to company procedures and safety requirements. Inspect packaging materials, bottles, caps, labels, and finished products for quality and consistency. Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, and material tracking documentation. Support inventory movement between storage, production, and shipping areas. Assist with startup and shutdown procedures for production lines and equipment. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, sanitation procedures, and all OSHA safety standards. Identify and report equipment malfunctions, product defects, or safety concerns to management. Commercial Kitchen Cleaning and Maintenance Perform routine and deep cleaning of shared commercial kitchen spaces including floors, drains, prep surfaces, sinks, storage areas, walls, and food-contact equipment. Maintain sanitation schedules and cleaning logs in compliance with health department and food safety standards. Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and sanitation supplies. Perform basic facility upkeep and preventative maintenance tasks including minor repairs, filter replacement, organization of storage areas, and equipment cleaning. Ensure common-use kitchen areas remain organized, sanitary, and operational for all tenants and users. Coordinate waste disposal, recycling, and management of cleaning supply inventory. Assist with inspection readiness and corrective actions related to sanitation or facility conditions. Shipping and Receiving Serve as the primary and sole responsible individual for all incoming and outgoing shipments. Receive raw materials, ingredients, packaging supplies, and other deliveries while verifying quantities, condition, and documentation accuracy. Organize and maintain warehouse and storage areas for efficient inventory control and accessibility. Prepare finished products for shipment including palletizing, wrapping, labeling, documentation, and carrier coordination. Schedule freight pickups and communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers regarding shipments and delivery timelines. Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods. Conduct routine inventory counts and report discrepancies. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, if certified. Ensure compliance with traceability, lot coding, and shipping documentation requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in food production, beverage manufacturing, warehouse operations, commercial kitchen operations, or shipping and receiving preferred. Ability to work independently and manage multiple operational responsibilities simultaneously. Strong organizational and time management skills. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform light maintenance tasks. Familiarity with GMPs, sanitation procedures, food safety standards, and warehouse safety practices preferred. Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification. Basic computer skills including inventory tracking, email communication, and documentation entry. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to push, pull, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks. Ability to work in production, warehouse, refrigeration, and cleaning environments. Comfortable working around production equipment, cleaning chemicals, and warehouse machinery. Work Schedule Full-time position with flexible scheduling based on production demands, shipping schedules, and facility cleaning requirements. Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required depending on production runs or freight schedules. Performance Expectations Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and operational reliability. Demonstrate accountability and ownership over shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements consistently. Communicate proactively regarding operational issues, inventory shortages, maintenance concerns, or shipment delays. Contribute to a productive, efficient, and compliant production environment.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
