James St. Newport, DE 19804 Sun Chemical - Manufacturing & Production Operator Opportunities Join the team at Sun Chemical in Newport, Delaware ! We are hiring experienced manufacturing professionals for multiple production and operator roles supporting our chemical manufacturing and finishing operations. These positions play a critical role in safely producing high-quality products while maintaining efficiency, quality, and operational excellence. Responsibilities may include:
Operating and monitoring manufacturing and processing equipment Following SOPs, batch instructions, and production schedules Handling raw materials, chemicals, and finished products safely Performing quality checks, documentation, and production reporting Troubleshooting equipment and process issues Supporting housekeeping, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives Operating forklifts, hoists, and material handling equipment Working collaboratively with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams Qualified candidates typically have: Manufacturing, chemical processing, machine operation, or production experience Strong safety awareness and attention to detail Ability to work in fast-paced industrial environments Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed Experience with batch processing, PLC/DCS systems, or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus Preferred backgrounds include: Chemical manufacturing Machine operation Industrial production Batch processing Finishing or coating operations Forklift or material handling experience We are looking for reliable, team-oriented individuals who are committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
