As strategic industry partners we are focused on redefining the future of beverageware through the development and growth of the reusable, infinitely recyclable aluminum cup brand, Top Cup™ . Our mission is to offer a better alternative to single-use plastic through innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to sustainability. Position Summary The Production Operator is a valued part of our Rome, GA location. This role is an entry level production position that is trained on the overall Oasis Venture Holdings/Top Cup production environment as well as the basic machine operation of the line, and how to support the roles required during production.
Working Hours:
4/3 shift model. 12 hour shifts 5:00 am - 5:30 pm Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to) Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment. Supports and follows the guidelines of the food safety system. Completes on-the-job training and development of assigned personnel. Communicates pertinent information to coworkers as needed. Responsible for supplying their own tools. Performs some manual production functions by operating, and repairing the production equipment to meet customer specifications under guidance from area Maintainer. May be required to work in other areas of production. Required to work assigned schedule, working hours may vary as specified by management. Other duties as needed by management and/or business needs. Skills and Knowledge Working knowledge of the following areas: nomenclature of all assigned equipment and products and plant quality standards. Ability to identify product defects. Ability to effectively train personnel. Ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to operate and functionally use a computer. Ability to operate forklift or aerolift, if required. Ability to use precision measuring instruments. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Requires both on-the-job and classroom training.
Physical Environment & Working Conditions:
May be subject to all of the following, but not limited to: Hot/Cold working conditions. Loud /Noisy environment. Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and regularly stand, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb. Climbing (stairs, and other equipment as necessary). Ability to work up to twelve (12) hours shift, overtime may also be required. This position is exposed to occupational hazards, including but not limited to, high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc. Must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices. Education and Certification High School Diploma or education equivalent required. Some manufacturing experience preferred.
