Job Title:
Chemical Operator Job Description Join a leading worldwide supplier in the Aerospace, Automotive, Oil & Gas, and Energy markets as a Chemical Operator. You will be part of a division with over 85 years of industry experience, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. We are looking for a dedicated Chemical Batch Blender to join our chemical production department at our DeWitt, IA facility. Responsibilities Promote and follow all Safety and ISO guidelines and procedures. Identify, select, pull, and stage approved materials for manufacturing and filling. Accurately measure, weigh, and add chemical raw materials manually or automatically to storage tanks and mixing tanks. Manufacture materials according to shop orders and mixing work instructions. Sanitize and clean mixing equipment per work instructions at scheduled intervals. Monitor and manage raw material inventory utilizing the kanban system. Monitor raw materials and finished goods for quality. Maintain production records and reporting as required. Report maintenance issues. Contribute ideas to improve or optimize manufacturing procedures. Recommend safety improvements as necessary. Keep tools, equipment, and work environment clean and organized daily. Assist in training and support other lines as needed. Transport raw materials and finished products via forklift (forklift training provided). Perform various other duties as required. Essential Skills 2-3 years of manufacturing experience. Batch mixing experience in the chemical or related industry preferred. Ability to lift and/or move up to 55 lbs. Ability to work as part of a team and individually. Good level of attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with blending and batching. Enjoy monthly lunches ordered in and the flexibility of a 4-10's schedule, with occasional Friday work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of De Witt, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
