Job Description

Summary Under general direction, the Operations Support performs a variety of job responsibilities which may include blending of fertilizer, production of fire retardant, loading and unloading trucks and railcars, pump maintenance, electric motor maintenance, vehicle maintenance, equipment and other facility maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities Performs varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including pump and electric motor maintenance, welding, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities; loading and unloading fertilizer and chemicals on and off trucks and railcars; performing warehouse inventory and storage functions. Operates equipment to blend fertilizer; monitoring liquid fertilizer production by utilizing computers, reading weights on scales and calibrating equipment. Responsible for keeping a clean, orderly work space. May assist with recordkeeping related to inventory production responsibilities Ensure the proper loading and operations of vehicles in compliance with DOT, OSHA and Hazmat regulations. Comply with all company and customer safety requirements. Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.

Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this positionSkills & Relevant Experience 1+ years related experience and/or training Pump or electric motor maintenance is preferred Welding experience or certifications are a plus Knowledge of fertilizer barns or grain elevator operation machinery is a plus Ability to effectively and safely operate heavy equipment such as a loader, forklift and semi-truck Ability to do a variety of tasks in succession, i.e., receiving customer orders from a coordinator, blending products together, loading a truck, verifying accurate weights Ability to perform basic math Ability to use a computer, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook - or mobile app Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with management, other team members, and customers Requirements Valid Driver's License Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs Must be willing and able to work Ag Industry hours, which may include: overtime, weekends, etc., as seasonal needs demand
