Job Description
Job Summary The Operator will set up, run, monitor and adjust liquid filling line equipment with labelers, fillers ladders/cappers, erectors, box tapers and all equipment pertaining to assigned lines. Job Duties Provide direction to line personnel on set-up Perform product changeovers, make mechanical adjustment and perform minor maintenance and repairs on the line Ensure correct product documentation, batch codes, labels, case labels, pallet tags, and UPC codes of product Ensure strict adheres to bill of materials by performing 1 piece inspection and checks throughout run on materials, labeling and power weights Operator will ensure accurate filling of paperwork pertaining to production runs. Perform scheduled sanitation of lines per sanitation schedule Perform daily housekeeping and lines and plant Operator will ensure proper shut done of lines Fill in as forklift driver when need and directed Work with barcode scanners as necessary. Perform all other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Five years of warehousing, shipping / receiving and manufacturing experience. Able to follow and enforce company SOP's, plant guidelines and safety procedure. Must be mechanically inclined, have basic math and communication skills. Individual will be trained on all production lines and will be responsible for proficiency. This individual must be able to work with barcode scanners and SKU identification. Education High school diploma or GED College classes or degree preferred. Physical Requirements Physical and manual labor intensive. Ability to lift 50 lb. bags continuously (up to 65 bags per batch Must repeatedly be able to carry and hold 15' hose / 3" diameter weighing approximately 70 pounds. Must be able to climb on/off forklift. Must be able to climb stairs to perform duties on the batch deck. Must be able to climb ladders up to a minimum of 25 feet tall. Work Environment Wet floors and equipment. Exposure to dust. Exposure to high heat and humidity especially in the summer. Exposure to outside temperatures unloading tankers. Potential exposure to chemicals that require PPE to handle. Work Attire Standard uniform with long sleeve shirt (tucked in)
