Position Overview The Lead Compounder is responsible for preparing and overseeing the mixing of raw materials used to manufacture wet wipe solutions. This role plays a key part in ensuring formulas are blended accurately, safely, and consistently while maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company quality standards. This position also serves as a lead resource within the blending area, taking ownership of documentation, verifying batch records, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and helping guide blending team members to ensure efficient production. Key Responsibilities Blending & Compounding Operations Accurately measure and mix raw materials according to approved formulas and batch sheets. Operate blending tanks, mixing equipment, and batch processing systems. Monitor mixing parameters such as time, order of ingredients, and consistency of solutions. Ensure batches meet quality and formulation standards before release to production. Coordinate blending schedules with production to support manufacturing needs. Documentation & Process Ownership Maintain accurate batch records, including ingredient lot numbers and formulation documentation. Verify batch documentation for completeness and compliance. Ensure proper traceability of raw materials and finished batches. Report any deviations, discrepancies, or quality concerns immediately. Equipment & Area Management Ensure blending equipment is clean, sanitized, and ready for production. Coordinate cleaning and sanitation procedures between batches. Assist with troubleshooting blending equipment and process issues. Maintain a clean and organized blending area. Safety & Compliance Follow OSHA safety requirements, GMP standards, and company policies. Safely handle chemicals and raw materials using appropriate PPE. Maintain proper labeling and storage of materials in the blending area. Leadership & Collaboration Provide guidance and support to Blending Operators and Blending Assistants. Assist with training new team members on blending procedures and safety. Communicate effectively with Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams. Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of blending, compounding, or liquid manufacturing experience preferred. Experience working in manufacturing environments such as wet wipes, cosmetics, chemicals, or similar industries is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow formulas accurately. Comfortable working with chemicals and production equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong organizational and communication skills.
