Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Compost Operator Responsible for the coordination of composting and manure production ensuring that the composting operations provide the highest quality organic compost products in the industry meeting all production milestones.
CODE Production Operator Essential Job Functions :
(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
  • Support all aspects of compost/dehydrate Production.
  • Collect and properly dispose of mortality hens.
  • Mix materials to the proper recipe.
  • Move dehydrated product.
  • Move wet manure.
  • Load and unload compost dryer.
  • Unload compost from pits.
  • Screen and grind compost.
  • Load bulk compost.
  • Operate loader, skid loader, tractor, etc.
  • Assist in snow removal.
  • Understand basic operation of composters.
  • Ensure raw material and all other products are loaded and unloaded from truck accurately.
  • Collect pullet manure.
  • Ability to operate honey wagon.
  • Operate and understand compost fans.
  • Conduct quality checks on a regular basis.
CODE Production Operator Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to operate any and all CODE Production equipment to include, composters, screener, compost dryer, etc. with minimal supervision.
  • Skill and ability to operate skid loader, loader, tractor, etc.
  • The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Experience Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or similar equipment in manufacturing or waste management settings. Familiarity with composting processes or environmental sustainability practices is a plus. Strong attention to safety procedures and environmental compliance standards. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently when needed. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
