Production Lead Position Overview We are seeking an In-Mold Coating and Mold Heating Operator to support our safety bumper manufacturing process. This role is responsible for applying in-mold coating to production molds, maintaining coating supply readiness, and ensuring molds complete the required heating cycle before moving to the next stage of production. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Apply approved in-mold coating to molds according to established work standards. Ensure consistent coating coverage while preventing defects such as dry spots, overspray buildup, contamination, or incomplete coverage. Transfer coated molds to the heating station and stage them for the required heat cycle. Monitor mold placement to ensure safe and organized staging. Check coating inventory levels throughout the shift and prepare new coating mixtures when needed. Follow approved mixing procedures, ratios, labeling requirements, and material handling practices. Report equipment, coating, mold, ventilation, quality, or safety concerns to leadership. Maintain a clean and organized work area around coating, mixing, and heating stations. Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. QualificationsRequired Skills Ability to follow standardized work instructions and production procedures. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Ability to identify acceptable and unacceptable coating coverage. Basic understanding of chemical safety, labeling, and material handling. Ability to safely move and stage molds using proper ergonomic practices. Strong communication skills and ability to report abnormal conditions. Preferred Experience Manufacturing or production experience. Experience with spraying, coating, painting, mold preparation, or material mixing. Experience working with quality checks, standard operating procedures, and PPE requirements. Willingness to learn chemical handling and heated mold movement procedures through training. Work Environment Manufacturing production environment with chemical coatings, heated molds, and moving equipment. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and handling production materials. Work near heated equipment and hot surfaces. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Repetitive production-cycle work requiring focus and attention to detail.
