Process Technician

Sustainable Sourcing is currently seeking a Process Technician to work in the Clinton, Indiana processing plant. This position requires accurate and accountable performance of all necessary duties to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position works under the immediate supervision of the Clinton Plant Manager and functionally reports to the Production Supervisors at the location. Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for plant start-up, shut down, cleaning and processing
• Stay within operating parameters set by the Clinton Plant Manager and notify management of any production problems
• Loading and unloading tanker trucks and railcars of raw materials, finished goods and site generated by-products
• Drive spotter truck to stage and deliver loads on-site
• Collect material samples of incoming, work-in-progress and finished goods to perform the required testing to ensure consistent and quality products
• Keep accurate and timely records and logs
• Learn and operate DCS (distributed control system) for the plant
• Monitor and make adjustments on the (DCS) computer according to the results of the samples and to keep within parameters and record changes
• Keep the facilities and control room clean, including hosing down plant floors - maintain tour ready conditions
• Keep technicians, coming on shift, briefed on what has happened and what is supposed to be done during the next shift
• Work closely with Maintenance Manager and inform him of any mechanical problems through work request in the maintenance management software
• Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor
• Participate in safety programs and ongoing training sessions
• Utilize SAP Business One for inventory tracking
• Required to follow all safety procedures
• Available occasionally for call-in work and overtime
• Up to 6 months of on-the-job training on the day shift Experience and Required Skills
• Requires a valid driver's license
• Be able to operate utility vehicle (Spotter Truck)
• Must be hard working and self-motivated
• Detail-oriented; proficiency for accuracy; dependable; positive attitude; team player
• Review, follow, and comply with all established Standard Operating Procedures, safety policies, and work instructions.
• Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned projects
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Processing plant operates 24 x 5; must be willing to work all shifts
• The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather in all conditions
