2 Evansville, IN Job Details 6 days ago Qualifications Batch processors High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility Full Job Description Job Purpose The primary purpose of the Kettle Operator is to follow written procedures and formulations to properly cook prepared batches to provide production with safe, quality finished product . Duties and Responsibilities Kettle Operators must be capable of performing all Batcher Level 1 and Batcher Level 2 duties (see specific job descriptions) as well as: Ensure use of all Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Practices Act as a double check to verify all lot numbers and weights/measurements prepared by the Batchers Safe and proper operation of all batching equipment as well the following cooking equipment: Kettle Liquiverter Comitrol Steam Jacket/Injection Water Meters Hoist Lifts Maintain required product specifications and ensure proper documentation of said specs at all times during the cook process: pH Temperature Viscosity Ingredient weight Qualifications Must have successfully trained and performed as a Batcher Level 1 & Batcher Level 2 High School Diploma or GED. Previous manufacturing experience required; experience handling raw materials preferred General math, reading, and data entry skills Excellent attention to detail Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast changing environment Ability to work both independently and in a team setting Must be able to work at the required pace while ensuring 100% accuracy Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team Ability to follow all work instructions and safety procedures Strong organizational and time management skills Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively with a high level of dexterity; reach with hands and arms; and regularly lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull 500 pounds, may at times be required to push/pull up to 2000 pounds with assistance of equipment. Must have the ability to grasp with one or both hands and extend arms up to 3 feet at, below, or above shoulder height repeatedly throughout the shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must also have the ability to distinguish color codes on packaging materials. Operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required. Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits and other allergens are present.
