Job Description

Job Title Material Prep Operator II, Technical Advisor Shift Shift 1 (United States of America) Summary These responsibilities are in addition to the assigned position. Responsible for training, communicating, monitoring schedules, proper placement of deburred products, performing Material Prep tasks, and coordinating team members within their assigned department as well as other operations team members. This is an hourly supplemental position reporting to the Machine Operator Supervisor.
Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct new hire departmental training including: o Reviewing use of hand files and measuring equipment o Print reading Conduct current employee departmental training to improve employee performance or cross train Respond to all part manufacturing and tooling questions within the department Review and respond to all print related questions in the department Assist with safety including fire and tornado drills, 5S and process flow within the department Provide suggestions per grouping of like components when analyzing schedule requirements Aid in the installation / training of new equipment in the department

Minimum Qualifications:
Highschool Diploma or GED required. 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required. Supervisory experience preferred An ambitious self-starter capable of working in a fast paced customer focused environment. Strong mechanical aptitude. Team player mentality. Advanced computer skills required. Requires strong written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate the ability to comprehend and follow work directions in a safe and proficient manner. Ability to identify and share process improvement ideas. Knowledge of raw materials. Forklift experience as required. Overhead crane experience. Basic understanding of material flow and processing steps. Ability to read and comprehend routings. Basic computer skills. Efficient use of small hand tools, grinders, sanders and files. Must be capable of obtaining a fork truck operators license and capable of operating a fork truck.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
