Job Description

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for an Antigen Technician. This position is working in an antigen manufacturing operation environment. This is a contract hire opportunity with one of the world's premier research-intensive biopharmaceutical company and is located in De Soto, KS.

PM Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent required, BS in Biology or related Science preferred. Relevant manufacturing experience (1-3 Years) Analytical, scientific, and mechanical trouble shooting skills Good written and verbal communication skills Good computer skills Strict attention to detail and safety Ability to lift 25 pounds on an intermittent basis. Comprehensive understanding of aseptic process in daily activities. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of Good Documentation Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Basic awareness of quality improvement tools and MPS processes. Understanding and awareness of USDA regulations. The production area is an aseptic area lab requiring no jewelry, no makeup, and no product on nails or lashes. Job requires knowledge of aseptic skills because the procedures have to keep the antigen sterile from outside contamination.
Responsibilities:
The antigen manufacturing operation is made up of teams that carry out the production activities for the preparation and sterilization of equipment, preparation and sterilization of media components, fermentation of bacterial antigens, and downstream processing of bacterial antigens. The SUB-Processing Department is responsible for key processing activities in the manufacture of antigens to be used in the blending of final vaccines. Department activities include cleaning, set up and sterilization of large-scale equipment and the continuation of antigen batches required for final vaccine blending. This position will be focusing on both upstream and downstream processing of M Hyo. antigen that is labor intensive. Physical requirements are moderate, but person will need to be able to lift 25lb. containers. When this antigen processing isn't required there may be other duties to assist with within the team. These other duties may include maintaining warehouse space, general housekeeping and preparation of materials used in process. The primary tasks of this temporary job role are to perform set up and processes as indicated by the schedule and team leads and to support the departments cleaning and preparation activities. The position requires someone who can demonstrate a good attention to detail and achieve a consistent error-free execution of daily job responsibilities and be able to complete documentation using Good Documentation Practices This 12+ Month Contract Assignment Starts
