Utility Operator

Job Title:

Utility Operator Job Description This position is responsible for the care and treatment of customer inventory, performing duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage. The role involves reviewing job folders to verify processing areas, performing visual inspections for defects, using hand tools to process parts per instructions, recording data, and reporting any issues to the Lead or Supervisor. Responsibilities Review job folder to verify the area of part to be processed (masked with tape, post processing, grit blast areas). Perform visual inspection of parts for defects. Use various hand tools to perform appropriate processing per work instructions and job folder. Record and sign off on all applicable data defined in the job folder. Report all problems, inaccuracies in job folder, damaged parts, and/or post processing materials to Lead or Supervisor. Follow in-process inspection procedures as needed to verify current operation meets customer and job folder requirements. Assist supervisor in developing processes that will improve operations. Observe all Environment, Health and Safety Policy requirements, keep work area neat and orderly, wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and dispose of waste per safety standards. Essential Skills Production Manufacturing Material handling Mechanical aptitude Proficiency with hand and power tools Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods in an office/industrial environment. Manual dexterity to perform detailed post-processing operations with a high degree of attention to detail. Compliance with ITAR requirements Preferred experience using hand tools for manual processes. Preferred experience in a production environment. Demonstrated organization and documentation skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.00/hr.
