Job Summary:

A Fermentation Operations Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the daily operations of the fermentation process. These tasks may include monitoring and controlling the fermentation process, maintaining equipment, and ensuring product quality. The technician works closely with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the fermentation process.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of fermentation processes and equipment Ability to monitor and control fermentation parameters Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform equipment maintenance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Monitoring and controlling the fermentation process to ensure optimal performance. Weighing ingredients and preparing solutions, media, and other process related items required by production the process. Maintaining and calibrating fermentation equipment Collecting and analyzing samples to ensure product quality. Maintaining accurate records of fermentation parameters and process data Troubleshooting and resolving issues with the fermentation process Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the fermentation process. Following safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Maintaining, preparing, cleaning, and sanitizing manufacturing areas, equipment, and materials Assembling /disassembling manufacturing equipment for product changeover. Performing material handling tasks to transport, load and unload materials to and from work areas.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED Experience in feed, grain or supplement processing or manufacturing preferred. Ability to work flexible 12-hour shift (day or night) and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Must be physically able to operate motor vehicle and forklift. Ability to lift up to 50-55 pounds repeatedly. Ability to wear a respirator (in some designated areas) Must pass post-offer physical and drug screen Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time. Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperature and noise levels. About the
