Production Technician I

POSITION PURPOSE

Briefly summarize why your job exists. To provide production operation duties to ensure: Efficient unit operation; Proper and safe equipment operation in accordance with Plant Operation policies/procedures and OSHA safety rules and regulations Production of high quality products.

Duties include:

Performing light maintenance, including but not limited to pump oiling, minor filter change-outs, small steam leak and trap repairs; Taking and reporting utility readings: Reviewing P&IDs and SOPs; Computer input of quality alert information; Miscellaneous other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent 2-years experience in an industrial, manufacturing or plant environment preferred Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift Ability to work overtime as needed Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screen, fitness test, and background check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree in Process Technology Minimum of 2 years post high school education 2 year experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred
