Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Perform and support the manufacturing within the Refining Division. Loads, unloads, and moves materials for distribution or further processing to refine precious metals. Set up, monitor, and prepare materials for processing, refinement, finished product production, and shipment.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent is required Skill
  • Strong math & English skills required; ability to accurately and neatly complete assigned work; must be able to lift up to 70 pounds Experience
  • One years' experience in a manufacturing or other similar environment but willing to train right candidate Technical
  • Ability to learn and work in a variety of metallurgical refining processes such as electroplating, hydrometallurgical, and finished production work.
Working knowledge of refining or plating processes a plus. Good mechanical aptitude and chemical handling abilities a must. Ability to use manual and powered material handling equipment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Procedural Responsibilities :
Loading material into equipment. Set up of anodes in cells and preparation of electrolyte. Set up and monitoring of various refinery manufacturing and recovery processes. Initiation and monitoring of chemical reactions. Scrubber / dust collector operation and basic maintenance. Operation of chemical distribution equipment, Cl2 & SO2 evaporators, pumps, level controls, etc. Completion of refinery paperwork, including verification and documentation of weights. Performing other remedial duties in the facility as directed by Dept. Supervisor.
Note:
These functions will be trained to the right candidate.
Physical Requirements and Activities :
Work requires frequent standing, bending, twisting, reaching, stretching, pulling and pushing in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Workplace Maintenance :
Assist in basic periodic maintenance of equipment such as; processing equipment cleanouts, chemical probe calibrations, pump upkeep, filter replacements, etc. General housekeeping on a daily basis.
Equipment Operation :
Safe Operation of Processing Cells and Vessels, Forklifts, Pumps, Mixers, Hoists, Sandblaster, Rectifiers, Ovens and assorted material handling equipment and power tools according to Standard Operating Procedures.
Regulatory Requirements :
Per training provided, follow all safety and environmental rules and regulations of the company.
