Your focus:
safely producing fatty acids that meet exact customer specifications by blending precise computerized control with hands-on field work. How you run the plant Start up and stabilize units by turning valves, moving handles, working overhead, and watching display screens—making the right adjustments to bring product into specification. Operate both computerized control systems and manual valves to steer process conditions and production rates. Enter laboratory test results and your observations into Quality Window to document process quality. Initiate emergency equipment shutdowns when conditions require it, protecting people, process, and equipment. Safety and housekeeping Complete routine safety inspections as assigned; mitigate hazards on the spot or report them promptly to management. Keep areas clean by performing cleanup with shovels, Mix T's, and other tools. Perform Lockout Tag Out and isolate systems as required for safe work. Inspections, maintenance, and reliability Conduct visual and physical equipment inspections twice each shift across assigned machinery and systems. Report defects immediately to the maintenance department and your shift leader; create work orders in the electronic maintenance tracking system. During shutdowns and repairs, work alongside the Maintenance team to inspect, install, and repair equipment. Support Maintenance and Engineering teams in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Quality control and data systems Draw product samples and run lab tests for Iodine Value, Color, pH, and additional properties. Perform analytical checks using Gas Chromatographs. Enter production usage and output at end-of-shift into SAP. Teamwork and handoffs Conduct a thorough shift turnover with the relief operator in the control room. Assist with training and education of other employees when requested. What guides your decisions Champion the company's principles of Safety, Compliance, Quality, Cost, and KPI's in every action. Perform other duties as requested or required to support safe, reliable operations.
