Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) . The ideal candidate will have strong sterile processing experience in a hospital OR setting and be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical services department. First-time travelers are welcome with strong clinical experience and technical skills. Responsibilities Perform decontamination, sterilization, inspection, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment Assemble case carts and instrument trays accurately according to preference cards Operate sterilization equipment including steam sterilizers, Sterrad, and Steris systems Conduct biological and chemical indicator testing and documentation Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and endoscope reprocessing Maintain aseptic technique and infection prevention standards Handle specialty surgical instrumentation including: Orthopedics/Total Joints Robotics Laparoscopic OB/GYN Neurology Urology Vascular Plastics Support inventory management and equipment documentation Float within the department and sister facilities as needed Requirements Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Tech experience required Strong 1-year experience may be considered for first-time travelers Acute care hospital OR experience required Teaching and/or community hospital experience preferred Certification required:
CBSPD OR IAHCSMM/HSPA
Experience with: Steam sterilization Immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) Ultrasonic cleaners Washer/sterilizers Scope/probe reprocessing

$1,050.00
