Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to be the behind-the-scenes expert who makes safe surgery possible. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will ensure every instrument, supply, and piece of equipment meets the highest standards—directly supporting patient safety and successful surgical outcomes. If you want it slightly shorter or more formal, I can tighten it further, but this version strikes a strong balance between engaging and professional.
What You'll Do:
Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment Follow strict sterile technique, standard precautions, and infection control guidelines Prepare and distribute instrument trays and supplies to the operating room Monitor sterilization processes, including biological and chemical indicators Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and ensure equipment readiness Identify and remove damaged or malfunctioning equipment Assist with operating room turnover between cases Support a clean, safe, and organized clinical and sterile processing environment Document activities accurately according to policy Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient care and workflow
What You Bring:
Strong understanding of sterile processing and instrument handling Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand clinical environment High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Strong teamwork and communication skills Basic computer skills
Qualifications:
Sterile Processing certification (CSPDT) or Surgical Technology certification (CST/CORT) 1 year of experience in sterile processing or surgical setting Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
