Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Process Technician to support injection molding and vacuum forming operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for monitoring and adjusting process parameters to ensure high-quality production, minimal scrap, and efficient equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with mold changes, and a solid understanding of injection molding processes, automation, and process optimization. Essential Responsibilities Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain product quality and minimize scrap Interpret and maintain SPC charts, process controls, and robot programs Ensure all process equipment is operational and functioning properly at the start of each shift Perform daily startup and shutdown procedures, PMs, checklists, and process documentation Monitor product quality and document process adjustments as needed Complete setup documentation during shift changes, mold changes, and restarts after downtime Support production line changes including tool changes, material changes, and process adjustments Coordinate with supervisors and team members to maintain efficient production flow Assist with troubleshooting process-related issues and mentor operators/technicians as needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment Ensure proper handling and disposal of process and chemical waste materials per company procedures Communicate process improvements and troubleshooting updates between shifts Key Performance Metrics On-time startup completion Scrap reduction and process efficiency Preventive maintenance completion Accurate process documentation Tool and mold change efficiency Qualifications 3-5 years of mold change experience 1-3 years of experience as a Plastic Process Technician 3-5 years of automotive manufacturing experience preferred Strong background in injection molding and process troubleshooting Experience with mold setup and process issue resolution Understanding of injection molding materials and their impact on production processes Experience with automation and process optimization preferred Knowledge of tooling related to injection molding processes Preferred Qualifications Systematic Molding Training Master Molder I & II certifications Automation programming experience Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years of automotive-related manufacturing experience #
WSG Pay:
$25.24 - $32.45 per hour
