Decontamination Respirator Full Job Description Sterile Processing Technician Summary:
We are seeking a highly meticulous Sterile Processing Technician to oversee contamination control, aseptic manufacturing, and equipment sterilization. Working in a specialized cleanroom environment (ISO 5 - ISO 8), you will be responsible for decontaminating, assembling, and sterilizing sensitive medical devices and laboratory equipment. Your commitment to strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) ensures safety and prevents product or environmental contamination.
Key Responsibilities:
Sterilization Execution:
The Sterile Processing Technician will operate, monitor, and troubleshoot advanced sterilization equipment (e.g., steam autoclaves, dry heat, and chemical/plasma sterilization systems).
Aseptic Techniques & Environmental Control:
Perform critical aseptic manufacturing processes, strict gowning protocols, and environmental monitoring (air particle counts, surface swabbing) to mitigate contamination risks.
Decontamination & Packaging:
Manage the decontamination, careful inspection, precise assembly, and packaging of sterile supplies and surgical components.
Compliance & Documentation:
The Sterile Processing Technician will maintain accurate, real-time records of sterilization cycles, biological indicator testing, and batch records in strict adherence to GMP and SOP protocols.
Inventory Management:
Oversee the stocking, tracking, and expiration date monitoring of sterilized materials, cleanroom garments, and consumables.
Qualifications:
Experience:
2-4 years of hands-on experience in sterile processing or cleanroom manufacturing (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device fields).
Technical Knowledge:
The Sterile Processing Technician will have deep working knowledge of multiple sterilization techniques, infection control practices, and cleanroom disciplines.
Physical & Environmental Demands:
Ability to wear comprehensive cleanroom Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (jump-suits, hoods, respirators, and gloves) for extended periods. Ability to stand and walk for extended shifts and lift up to (50) lbs.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
