Role:
BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Processing Operator to join our client's site in Sturgis, MI. This role will support the manufacturing of liquid pediatric and medical nutritional products through the operation, monitoring, and documentation of computer-controlled manufacturing processes. The position requires physical handling of raw ingredients, interaction with integrated computer systems, accurate documentation of manufacturing activities, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and detailed work order instructions. The Processing Operator must be capable of performing a variety of processing functions and supporting manufacturing operations while maintaining product quality and GMP compliance.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Operations Prepare, operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled blending processes. Prepare, operate, monitor, and document bulk slurry manufacturing processes for blending operations. Prepare, operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled heat treatment processes. Prepare, perform, and document product line work operations, including: Standardization Final water processing Use of ingredients, flavors, oils, and related materials Ingredient Handling & Weighing Weigh, document, and stage batch ingredients utilizing a computer-controlled weighing system. Lift and physically handle raw ingredients during weighing, staging, and manufacturing processes. Receive and transport bulk raw ingredients and CIP chemicals. Cleaning & Sanitation Prepare, operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems used for manufacturing equipment, including tanks and heat treatment systems. Maintain GMP compliance through routine cleaning of equipment and general work areas. Perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment. Documentation & Compliance Follow batch work orders and job procedures. Record and maintain accurate manufacturing documentation. Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards. Follow detailed work order instructions. Additional Responsibilities Support other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Prior food manufacturing experience or similar batch process experience desired. Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) desired. Experience working with computer-controlled systems desired. Good written communication skills. Good verbal communication skills. Computer skills. Mechanical skills. Interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications:
