Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring that all surgical instruments, medical equipment, and supplies are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and distributed to support safe and effective patient care. Key Responsibilities Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols. Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including steam autoclaves, low-temperature sterilizers, and washer-disinfectors. Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage, ensuring all equipment meets quality standards. Assemble surgical instrument trays and procedure carts according to department specifications. Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor biological, chemical, and mechanical indicators to verify sterilization effectiveness. Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate availability of sterile supplies and instruments. Distribute sterile instruments and equipment to operating rooms, procedure areas, and patient care units. Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance standards. Collaborate with surgical staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient care operations. AL01 Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) certification or an equivalent Sterile Processing certification.
