Job Description

Job Overview High Divide Minerals has been a leader in producing the highest quality talc mineral for over 80 years. Since 1943, the company has pioneered talc mining and processing in Southwestern Montana. Today, High Divide Minerals utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to create a final product that exceeds customer specifications in attributes such as brightness, chemical composition, particle size, and more. High Divide Minerals is looking for a dedicated and skilled Production Technician to join their team at their Dillon Montana Minerals processing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience operating process equipment. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring mineral processing is carried out efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and product quality. Key Responsibilities Safely operate semi-bulk units in accordance with established procedures and safety standards. Perform quality control checks to ensure product meets specifications. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required. Load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and job observations. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Identify and report equipment, quality, or safety concerns. Work collaboratively with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred or required). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely. Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts. Willingness to work overtime as operational needs require. Strong attention to safety, quality, and procedural compliance. Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred. Work Environment & Physical Demands Industrial manufacturing environment. Standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and bending as required. • Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). The Production Technician #1 is responsible for the safe operation of semi-bulk units while ensuring product quality, compliance with procedures, and efficient material handling. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality control, and operational reliability while working rotating shifts with potential overtime.
