$23/hr Overview The Process Operator / Crane Operator plays a key role in supporting manufacturing and production operations through the safe and efficient operation of equipment and machinery. This position involves working with manual machines, handling materials, performing basic inspections, and utilizing lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, with the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Operate manual machines (mills, grit blasting, rollers) Use equipment such as furnaces, airflow stands, and spot welders Perform material movement using forklifts, cranes, and hand trucks Operate air tools (grinders, air hammers, etc.) Conduct basic inspections (micrometers, pie tape, depth gauges) Understand impact of metal removal on part reuse Handle and replace 50-gallon blast/coating media Qualifications Mechanical aptitude (assessment required) Experience with manual machines and air tools Ability to obtain crane and forklift certification Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working outdoors as needed Able to wear a respirator (if required) With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
