Job Description
Pharmaceutical Technician I We are seeking a dedicated Pharmaceutical Technician I to support the manufacturing of oral solid dosage (OSD) products in a highly regulated GMP environment. Position Summary The position is 100% on-site at the Greenville site.
Shift:
Monday - Thursday 4 pm - 2:30 am Catalent's Greenville, N.C. facility specializes in end-to-end turn-key solutions for oral solid dosage forms, including integrated formulation development, analytical services, commercial manufacturing, and packaging. This state-of-the-art facility has had over $100M of investments in recent years and features fit-for-scale capacity with potent handling capabilities, ideal for orphan or targeted drug development. As a key member of our Commercial Manufacturing team, you will operate critical OSD equipment, maintain compliance with stringent quality standards, and directly contribute to the success of our production operations. The Role Operate, clean, assemble, and disassemble OSD manufacturing equipment such as blenders, mills, roller compactors, tablet presses, encapsulators, and coaters. Support all stages of OSD production including dispensing, sifting, blending, granulation, compression, encapsulation, and coating. Perform equipment setup, changeover, and shutdown following SOPs, safety guidelines, and cGMP requirements. Accurately complete batch records, logbooks, and documentation. Monitor equipment, identify deviations or mechanical concerns, and escalate issues promptly. Assist with or independently perform troubleshooting based on experience. Uphold manufacturing area cleanliness and support continuous improvement initiatives. All other duties as assigned. The Candidate High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year of experience in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Hands‑on experience with OSD operations including compression, encapsulation, coating, and equipment setup. Willingness and ability to obtain internal forklift certification. Technical certification (Bioworks, Grads2Work, etc.) preferred. Experience with compression and granulation processes preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull over 100 lbs. Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday. Capability to bend, stoop, twist, and perform fine manual tasks. Comfort working around chemicals, dust, fumes, and moving machinery. Must be able to wear a respirator and successfully complete a medical evaluation.
