Job Description

We are currently seeking a dependable, safety-minded Chemical Batch Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality products by operating manufacturing equipment, batching materials, filling and packaging finished products, and supporting daily plant operations. I. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chemical Batch Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment used to produce and package Neyra products. This role involves unloading and loading raw materials, batching products according to specifications, filling and packaging finished goods, maintaining equipment, and supporting overall plant operations.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manufacturing & Production Safely operate all manufacturing and process equipment. Accurately meter and batch raw materials according to established formulas and specifications. Operate tanks, mixers, pumps, piping systems, meters, scales, and related production equipment. Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and consistency. Inspect finished products to verify compliance with quality standards. Fill containers to proper levels and ensure all packaging is completed accurately and professionally. Palletize products correctly with labels facing outward for identification and inventory purposes. Material Handling & Logistics Load and unload raw materials, finished goods, tankers, freight trucks, and customer vehicles. Move drums, pails, pallets, raw materials, and finished products throughout the facility as needed. Place incoming materials in their designated storage locations. Assist with monthly inventory counts and inventory management activities. Equipment Operation & Maintenance Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, wrapping equipment, and skid loaders. Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or repair needs to the Plant Manager. Assist with tank and tanker cleaning activities when required. Immediately report any accidents, damage, or safety concerns involving equipment, facilities, or inventory. Safety & Housekeeping Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Follow all company, state, and federal safety regulations and procedures. Participate in housekeeping and plant safety initiatives. Communicate potential operational issues or safety concerns to the Plant Manager promptly. Teamwork & Customer Service Work cooperatively with team members across all departments. Maintain familiarity with Neyra products, raw materials, and storage locations. Support other operational activities and special projects as assigned.
III. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous manufacturing, production, chemical processing, or material handling experience preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to safely use hand tools and industrial equipment. Forklift experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
IV. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, and climb ladders. Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and moving machinery. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
V. ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
This position works primarily in a manufacturing facility environment that is not uniformly heated or air-conditioned.
Employees may be exposed to:
Dust, oils, lubricants, and industrial chemicals Smoke, fumes, and manufacturing byproducts Moderate noise levels Grinding, welding, and other industrial operations Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, and all safety procedures must be followed at all times.
