Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Preparation
  • Assembles clean cage components for sterilization and use within the facility. Prepares and delivers feed, bedding, enrichment, and related equipment to meet daily productivity metrics. Equipment Operation
  • Able to operate autoclaves safely and correctly after completion of training, performs and documents autoclave-related functions in the appropriate log. Housekeeping
  • Completes daily and periodic housekeeping of assigned areas which may include bathrooms, locker rooms, and surgery spaces within the vivarium. Restocks and maintains appropriate inventory levels of supplies in assigned areas. Safety
  • Monitors first aid kits, eye wash stations and functioning emergency exit on cage was equipment. Monitors & maintains washers & sterilizers in proper working condition. Supplies and Equipment
  • Delivers clean and/or dirty equipment and cages to and from cage wash as required.
Maintains efficient organization & flow of supplies & equipment through cage wash area.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand the duration of shift, and perform repetitive physical activities such as: pushing and pulling wheeled racks and carts, utilize a ladder or step stool, lift above shoulder level, reaching, stooping, and bending
