Our team provides a broad range of services, including a Joint Replacement Institute, inpatient and outpatient surgical services, a Family Birthing Center, Endoscopy, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Pulmonary and Therapy Services, and Oncology care through the H.R. How you'll contribute: A Sterile Processing Tech who excels in this role: Central Sterile Processing Tech Collects, decontaminates, stores and distributes all reusable supplies and patient care equipment in the hospital.
Reports to:
Director of Surgery Services. Essential Functions Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements. Operates departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety. Provides customer service to all departments with a focus on the patient need. Processes and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy. Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily. Before an operation, helps set up the operating room and organizes sterile table with surgical instruments and equipment, sterile linens, and sterile solutions. What we're looking for: High school diploma or equivalent required. Sterile Processing Tech Certification Strongly Preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
