POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Under minimal direction, independently operates production equipment in various areas of manufacturing. Able to fill in for other positions in the plant.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Review batch tickets; read, understand, and follow. Provide samples to lab. Pack product into designated containers. Report near miss incidents and improvement opportunities. Equipment cleaning, tub washing, plant cleaning and waste disposal. Forklift operation. Labeling containers. SAP inventory look-up. Gather and weigh ingredients. (Scale operation) Operate dust collector equipment. Participate on plant teams. Stock rotation / Minimization of partial containers. Ingredient traceability. Operate and trouble shoot mixing equipment. Combine ingredients in designated sequence. Training others.

SAFETY:

Wear appropriate PPE at all times. Maintain a clean work area and work safely. Participate actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions.

ISO / QUALITY MANAGEMENT / PSM INITIATIVES

Follow all standard operating procedures with respect to performance of position duties. Stay updated on all applicable procedures.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent. Computer efficiency required. Candidates must have demonstrated experience with and knowledge of safety. Candidates must possess sound verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
