Schedule:
¨NBSP; Need nights 10p-0630a and evenings 2p-1030p (Rotate every other weekend) •Mobile Sterile Processing Technician . It involves working inside a temporary, fully equipped 53-foot STERIS mobile expandable tractor-trailer used as a temporary or overflow Sterile Processing Department (SPD) during hospital renovations or expansions. Perform in decontamination, assembly, and sterilization Core responsibilities include:
Instrument Decontamination:
Safely receiving, sorting, decontaminating, and cleaning soiled surgical instruments and medical devices using specialized washer-disinfectors and ultrasonic cleaners.
Packaging and Sterilization:
Inspecting and assembling instrument trays. Operating and monitoring steam and plasma sterilizers to ensure proper biological, chemical, and mechanical parameters are met
Trailer Setup/Maintenance:
Assisting with the leveling, commissioning, and decommissioning of the trailer unit. Ensuring plumbing, HVAC, and power parameters function properly.
Sterile Storage:
Properly storing, inventorying, and distributing sterile trays and supplies to operating rooms and patient floors.
Compliance:
Strictly adhering to Manufacturer's Instructions for Use (IFUs) and regulatory standards to ensure a clean, sanitary environment. Qualifications typically include an active Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) certification, prior experience in an SPD setting, and the ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
