This hands-on role is responsible for batching, blending, packaging, labeling, material handling, and equipment operation in a chemical manufacturing environment. The Production Operator plays a critical role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality and process standards. This position reports to the Department Supervisor and may receive direction from the Plant Manager as needed. Key Responsibilities Perform batching, blending, labeling, packaging, and material handling activities. Operate and monitor production equipment used in powder and liquid processing operations. Follow batch formulations, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Monitor process conditions and verify proper flow paths, valve positions, and operating parameters. Read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS), safety procedures, and PPE requirements. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Identify and communicate equipment, process, quality, or safety concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and operational goals. Qualifications Required Experience 1-3 years of manufacturing or production experience, preferably within a chemical manufacturing environment. Experience operating production equipment and working within established process controls. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and follow batch formulations, processing instructions, and safety procedures. Ability to understand process flow, temperatures, pressures, and other operating parameters. Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to safety and quality. Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal. Physical Requirements Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical production activities throughout the workday. Ability to work safely around chemicals, machinery, and industrial equipment. Work Schedule Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (First Shift)
