Job Description
This position is primarily remote, with occasional work at the office in Ottawa, Illinois and infrequent travel in the Central and Northwest Illinois service area. This position is part-time at 30 hours/week We are seeking an Assistant Coordinator with knowledge of epilepsy and its impacts. The Assistant Coordinator provides day-to-day receptionist services for Epilepsy Advocacy Network and assists with client services and communications, particularly in the Illinois Valley Service Area.
Duties:
To field phone calls from the organization's main phone line and forward calls as appropriate To field messages to the organization's main email account and forward messages as appropriate To prepare and send mailings to clients, partners, and supporters as directed To manage registrations for programs and events To assist with client support and referral to other community services, particularly in the Illinois Valley service area. May assist virtually in other service areas as needed To assist with resource fairs and support groups when requested To keep accurate client service statistics and records for all agency contacts and services To maintain spreadsheets for networking contacts, media contacts, client need requests, and others as assigned To assist with quarterly grant reporting, to include inputting data onto spreadsheets and reviewing report forms
Requirements:
Associate's Degree or commensurate experience Must have excellent attention to detail Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and relate well to individuals of all socioeconomic groups and abilities Must have an understanding of epilepsy and its impact on individuals and families Must be able to pass a background check
